For the next step in the IAFUTS book, I'd like to start "publishing" them. Something I really want to do is make zines for other people, I think zines are such an important part of the hardcore/emo/screamo scene that are overlooked. They offer such a neat look deeper into these bands you love, or into a stranger's life through their art, writing, whatever it could be. Cookbook, coloring book, a poetry book about kittens in cupholders. If you have any kind of interest in that kind of thing shoot me an email or something and we can talk about how we can get your art and ideas onto some paper. Coming to me with a finished concept and material, then either printing out those pages directly and putting them together or if all you have is an idea and some finished material to put into the zine, that's okay too i'm very open to help out and work things through.
Something I really enjoy is all the YouTube accounts with 30k+ followers who just post dbeat and crust bands. I want to interview the guy from "No Deal" he's my favorite source of YouTube #punkrock. Here's a link to one of my favorite crust releases Sexpill - In Dust We Trust LP (2024) guitar is nasty, the bass is stanky, vocals sound evil. Hard to hate something this perfect.
We've been in my stone wall basement writing some new bangers for y'all, planning on putting out some kind of new release sometime early next year until then not much plan, talk about another run-through of Philly and New York, but trying to hit New Jersey too if that's a possibility. If you know any bookers in New Jersey send them our way, please. (Two Pump Chump tapes and CDs are available at every show. New shirts soon, maybe some online only one's if anyone. would be interested.)
The Newsletter Mailing List is now open again if you'd like a monthly copy of the IAFUTS newsletter in your mailbox, contact me for shipping costs and info)
As I write this the rain still pours onto my window, and the sun finds its way through the rain.
Thank you for reading this, I hope to start updating this more if I can.
Last thing, Onewaymirror Live AT Home To Heart Fest 6/28/24 band is sick, kids are dope. We (BPB) played with them art Milo's house with Catalyst and Jordan's solo act. Then again when they came to the East Coast, they played on my family's farm. Was a great time, they were as good and as impressive then. Seeing them only going up is amazing. Shout out tate
Thank you again, be kind to yourself and others. Feel free to shoot me a message or email about anything.
Love,
Alex
